Depending on the indication, a small volume of 5x5.5 cm and a standard volume collimated to the mandible and maxilla of 8x8 cm can be sufficient. Below 5x5 cm correct patient positioning is not reliable; more than 8x8 cm means more time is needed for diagnostics – without added value for the dental practice.

On the one hand, the ORTHOPHOS XG 3D with its standard volume of 8x8 cm is the allrounder for all dental practices and, on the other hand, thanks to the combination of small volumes with a high resolution of 100 µm, it is the preferred CBCT unit for endospecialists.

Integrated implantology with CEREC x-rays that go beyond x-rays
As with the large-volume scans of the GALILEOS family, ORTHOPHOS XG 3D also allows you to simultaneously perform prosthetic and surgical planning of implants and take advantage of either a centrally or CEREC-produced high-precision drilling template. The time required for planning and production of the template is minimal for CEREC users, your patients will appreciate the need for treatment more readily and will value the additional safety offered by template-guided implantation.
